About Marta

kev and i christmas 2013My name is Marta Walker and Isaiah’s Call was what I feel God’s calling in my life to step down for serving a Youth Director at my local church and step out in faith to this new journey that the Lord has led me on. I am married to this wonderful man pictured with me named Kevin. He and I have been married for 26 years and have three beautiful, adult children. Our oldest son moved out several years ago and our two daughters were married last fall within 10 days of each other. I am a leader within the direct sales company I work with and lead a team over over 200 amazing ladies. It was through my business that I realized the opportunity to serve by connecting needs with servants. As a leader I have been able to build relationships with people that I would never had had the opportunity otherwise. I have known for a long time that the Lord placed me in this business with a bigger purpose than selling purses.

I served as Youth Director in my home church for 13 years and worked with youth at my previous church for two years. I have participated in 5 mission trips to Mexico through the Baptist Collegiate Ministry at Nicholls State University, serving as interpreter as well as serving as we built a conference building for them there. As part of my church, we had been on mission trips since 2002 until the last couple of years when we attended M-Fuge. We have participated in two mission trips that were organized for us and then we decided to go out on our own and plan our own mission trip experiences. I have loved doing this and have learned a lot along the way. We have traveled to many different areas and served doing VBS at churches and helping a church with neighborhood surveys and block parties. We have gone to help with storm recovery after Katrina and the Joplin tornadoes and several other opportunities. It has been a huge blessing to invest in others lives. We have taught out students to give of themselves as they raise funds to participate and then go serve. I believe all those experiences have prepared me to help others and send them out into the mission field.

I ask for your prayers that God would lead, bless and be glorified to every thing that happens through Isaiah’s Call and that He would be the one that would open the door of hearts and opportunities.

Thank you for taking the time to check us out and for considering how you may be part of it.

Blessings,
Marta
